Okay. Tenatively moving past the mapping phase on Top Warp, going to start bilding the damn thing early next week. Response to the factions was Lukewarm, so I'm going to work on fleshing them out in new writeups later this week.

In the meantime, I'm going to post some general writeups and floorplans for areas that will populate Topwarp for public vetting. First, the Vokzol Club, headquarters of House Zeitanovgorod.

There was some concern voiced about them lacking character, and frankly I've been sort of bogged down. So if anyone has some hard and specific suggestions for what they'd like to see from Topwarp counterculture, go ahead and mention it here. Or email me at NotGodot@gmail.com.

Update on furspots invite codes.

I don't play my PSP enough, so I'm selling it. I have a Piano Black PSP-2000 in awesome condition, no scratches (just a lot of fingerprints). It's modded to 4.01-M33. The original battery was used as a Pandora's, so it's been opened and taped back up, but it's been the only battery I've used for the PSP so it works just fine.

Includes:

I need to start coding something, on my own time, that is mine and no one is going to effin touch it, or tell me how it should be changed. But what? Coding for a job is starting to get me down, just as I suspected it would. I've come to the realization that I'll never cut it as a professional developer, because coding it an art, and it's "Me" in such a way that being put on a leash and guided through the process warps me in special ways. Oddly, I'm still glad to do it at work, I just need to make sure our guidelines are understood and adhered to.

I'm okay with things now. Everyone tells me I'm getting a raw deal. Perhaps. But here's how I see it... It's job experience (and I will claim I'm a dev as much as I'm a tech here, regardless), and I was happy with it before... what got me angry and scared was the sudden expectation that I do an entire tech's workload while coding stuff as well. That's been addressed. I think I'll live.

I'm learning a lot here. I'm being forced to do things I'd never have done in my normal work as a private dev. It's useful. I've grown as a coder since I started working here and I think I'll continue to do so as long as I remain open to things in a logical manner, instead of letting my head overflow with stress, or justifications, or compensation.

Writers Block I know this sucks but bear with me.

Greetings, SLifers.

I've seen a lot of people waxing poetic about some fantastic places they've built or encountered in SL. I suppose this is my turn, though I'm not all that poetic, and I didn't build it. I just work there and can vouch for the fact that it's really very lovely.

Scilly is home to The Tube, which is to date my very favorite club in all of SL (which is why I agreed to work there.). It's a PG sim, which means there's no creepy meat market vibe going on(bonus), and the people there are genuinely nice and accepting of anyone who wants to come down and have a good time. Of course, we won't hesitate to bounce anyone right on out of there who isn't, which helps. :)

The Tube is unique in its' design. It's modeled after an abandoned London Underground station and has a more intimate vibe than a lot of the super huge clubs you encounter in other places. The DJs spin a huge, huge variety of stuff and each one of us is very different. We even get graced by the mighty mighty presence of DJ Hush twice a week. :)

But there's more to it than that. Scilly is really quite charming, and has a lovely beach with little shops along the waterfront, beautiful houses, carriage rides and even a main street of stores selling all kinds of things. (Disclaimer- one of them is mine.)

None of these are the reasons I'm making this post, though. Since Scilly is so new (it's been open about.. 4 weeks now?) it still has plenty of shop/residential space left if anyone is looking to open a shop or plunk down a house. I know that there are flats for rent for as low as $100L a week, and the commercial properties are *REALLY* reasonable (the one I rent out is only $275L a week.)

Well I went to my doctor today. I'm not sure he and my counsellor are on the same page, though. The counsellor was talking about worries of Anxiety but my doctor seems to think he just wants to make sure the symptoms I suffered a few weeks ago, and since then, aren't related to some medical condition. So he checked my blood pressure (Strangely low as always) had me get some bloodwork done and he said he'd get back to me if anything was wrong. He's confident that both he and my counsellor are correct that it's a mental problem and not a physical problem, but I get the idea my counsellor wanted to find out if I should be on anxiety medication, not if the problem was caused by a more physical medical condition. My doctor is sure my problems are psychological, and that they will be solved through therapy, which is why I'm going to the counsellor.

So I guess I'll have to wait untill my next counsellor appointment, and see if I just fucked up the doctor appointment, or something. *rubs her head* Anyways I don't feel very good about today.

Furspots! A place to find and manage your identities in the fandom! Most all of us have done it. Created multiple characters. Maybe its different fursuits you own, or role-playing personalities, or characters in a story world of your creation. Perhaps you're an artist with different pen-names to keep your family-friendly works separate from your more risque ones.

Furspots gives you the option of managing the details of these characters without the hassle of creating an account for each, while retaining as much, or as little privacy about the owners as you like. From simple profiles and information and blogs, to the ability to use OpenID from each to log into the many sites out on the net that support such, as any character you like. Custom relationship trees, multiple profile images, multiple user icons (per character), friends groups, branching out into community organization and map based event planning. This is just the start of Furspots.

Soon, a complex messaging system will allow you to keep in touch with other users, while notifying you of events in your area, or new items that have been posted to a variety of sites who've partnered with us. One central location to manage your fandom presence.

Currently, the site remains in Alpha, and membership is gained by the use of an Invite Code. Viewing the site is open to all, and codes can be requested from any admin. While the base site is up and running, bugs are still being worked out, and features coded.

Once we are happy with the stability, we will open for Beta, at which point membership will likely be opened to any users. This process will take as long as is necessary to give a quality experience.
